Drat!

After I got home, I found out that The Mage's Daughter is apparently the second book in a series, and since I obviously haven't read the first one and had no idea what was going on, plot-wise, I just took it back.

I had to take Last Child in the Woods back to the library without finishing it....AGAIN. Maybe third time will be the charm? Whenever I actually manage to pick that book up, it always has something interesting to say, and I'm glad I did, but for some reason, I find it hard to pick up in the first place. Maybe it's because I wish it was organized into more concrete tips and helpful information instead of a bunch of trying to convince you that nature is good for your kids, with the tips and ideas sprinkled randomly throughout. Hello! I'm already sold on the nature thing...I just want to know what has worked for other parents and all, ya know? Anyway.

And Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife? Eh. I don't think I'll get very far. Too stilted and just nowhere near as engaging and entertaining as Pamela Aidan's version of events. I'll keep you updated, though.

Oh, and the $ex ed book is GREAT. I'll be reviewing that soon, as I'm almost done reading it.

Also, I went to the library again, but this time I got such a random collection of books that I'm not even going to tell you what they are until I review them, because I'm not sure I'll read more than the first page or two of most of them.
